The purpose of Contend is simply to encourage and equip Christians of all ages to “contend for the faith…delivered to the saints.” Contend was founded by Sam Geckler as a blog. This writing led to the founding of Contend Publications; and his love for music has led to the newest addition to the Contend brand – Contend Studios.
Sam Geckler currently serves as the Youth Pastor at Dunes Baptist Church in Michigan City, Indiana. He graduated from Emmanuel Baptist Academy and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology from Southern Indiana Baptist College and is currently working on a Masters degree in Ministry. He has a heart for teens and a desire to help teens and other youth pastors.
